So it’s Valentine’s Day this coming Sunday and the city of Florence has many treats in store for every type of lover. Come out and let yourself fall in love with the beautiful sceneries, art masterpieces, amazing food, incredible wine and love itself. City love is in the air, can you feel it?
For Art Lovers:
As part of the campaign Mi Baci? (Kiss Me?) by the Ministero dei beni e delle attività culturali e del turismo, Valentine’s Day will be a 2×1 day at all public museums including the Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Pitti, Galleria dell’Accademia, the Medici Chapels, Bargello National Museum and many more. Tickets to Palazzo Pitti include the stunning Boboli Gardens which make for a lovely romantic passeggiata. If you are an official resident in Florence here is a great tip for you, residents can enter the gardens for free any day of the year through the back entrance by Porta Romana. The Uffizi Gallery will also host a special guided tour for couples this Sunday. The tour will take you and your significant other along time and history, featuring the masterpieces that were dedicated to the theme of romantic love, in display within the gallerie’s 45 halls of pure artistic genius. For Adventure Lovers:
Under the same idea Trenitalia offers a 2×1 promo for trips on the 14th of this month. You can book your tickets until midnight of the 13th. To get the special price you must follow the instructions that pop up by clicking on the Valentine’s Day banner on their website.

For Chocolate Lovers:
The Chocolate Festival this year coincides with Valentine’s, so instead of giving your valentine a box of treats you both can stroll down the tends and try new flavors together. The Fiera del Cioccolato Artigianale will be going on from the 12th to the 21st of February at Piazza Santa Maria Novella.
For Wine Lovers:
Get close and personal with the Sangiovese vine and try multiple Chianti during this super fun event that had over 3.000 visitors last year. After all, what better way to celebrate love than with the best Chianti in the region?
The Chianti Lovers event takes place at Via delle Cascine, 35 and tickets are sold at 15 euro on the event’s Facebook page or on the spot.
