This is the perfect place if you wish to have a long weekend break with your family or your other half. The estate is picture perfect, with stunning views and a restaurant draped in olive vines. They offer freshly made bread and various set dishes (no menu) for breakfast, lunch and dinner; for guests only.“We only choose ingredients produced according to the principles of sustainable food, farming and of organic production. The vegetables come from our organic garden while other products are selected exclusively by producers in the region of Tuscany”. Our room was gorgeous, even with no air conditioning, and the rooms are airy and cool, despite being so hot outside. Ours included a four poster bed, modern bathroom with double shower and thankfully no television. I understand they also rent apartments and villas on the estate which a lot of families made use of during our stay.
If you do ever feel the need to tear yourself away from the pool, or bedroom for that matter, they offer many attractions including immaculate stables for horse riding, and beautiful walks on horseback, through the secret paths and gorgeous countryside for beginners and experienced riders. For the explorers among you, there are lots of places to visit nearby, as listed on their website, such as the village of Pitigliano, Sovana, San Galgano and many more Tuscan gems. However, for me, this is the perfect place to relax and unwind; and importantly for my small Chihuahua, small animals are, of course, welcome. I couldn’t fault this estate, the standard of service is high and the staff is welcoming and polite.
