In the St. Ambrogio district in Florence, you can find one of the most famous and innovative Florentine chef, Fabio Picchi, patron of the wonderful Teatro del Sale, a restaurant very close to Sant’Ambrogio market that is not only a restaurant but also a theater with inspiring and entertaining shows and where he workes in deep collaboration with his wife Maria Cassi, actress, author and director. On stage about 240 performances a year with a rich theatrical and musical program. He is also a prolific writer and he has published many books, among which in 2009 “The Ten Commandments in order not to sin in the kitchen” or “I dieci comandamenti per non far peccato in cucina” with Mondadori, in 2010 he wrote “Without flaws and without waste”, in 2011 his first novel, “The secret of the crescent” or “Il segreto della mezzaluna” and in 2012 “I fry for you” or “Soffriggo per te. Le mie frittate e poi… Il racconto delle cento ricette della mia famiglia” with Rai Eri, “Ho fame di te e di paradiso. Appunti di cucina e intingoli per la voglia di cucinare bene e affrontare i prossimi 1000 anni” for RAI-ERI and “Florence. Walking through food and culture. Guide into the heart of Florence” for Giunti Editore.
