The animated film The little Price will arrive on the 1st of January, 2016 in the Italian cinema halls, after the out of the competition phase at the 68th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, a new adapted version of the classic children’s literature by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, directed by American Mark Osborne. Immagine 1From the director of Kung Fu Panda, a tribute to the popular and beloved story written in 1942, which after 71 years from its publication is the most translated book in the world after the Bible, in 270 languages and dialects, with 145 million sold copies (16 million only in Italy). The story speaks about a little girl that moves into a new neighborhood with her mother, a career woman that plans the little girl’s schedule in a way for her to get into the prestigious Werth Academy. The little girl meets her neighbor, an old and strange aviator, who begins to tell her about his meeting with the Little Prince that took place years earlier. The little girl is carried away by the man’s story and is fascinated; thus she begins to rebel against an imposed life and rediscovers the wanders that only small things can offer. The Little Prince is a child with golden hair, an enthusiastic traveler through the marvels of the Universe. During his voyage he meets with many interesting characters, each of them leaving him with a lesson to learn or an idea to reflect upon. The experiences of the aviator and the story about the travels of the little Prince will help create a strong bond between the aviator and the girl. They will live together an extraordinary adventure that by the end will teach the girl to use her imagination and rediscover her childhood. The literary masterpiece of Saint-Exupéry was able to provide significant insights on important and profound issues, on the timeless, universal values: the respect for a person and diversity, environmental protection, peace, friendship, life and solitude. It is a story that continues to fascinate generations of readers of any age, that we will finally be able to see in cinema in a version that blends together computer graphics and stop motion; the designs of the characters recall watercolors with which the author himself has illustrated the main features of the novel. With an 80 million dollars budget, The Little Prince is without any doubt one of the most awaited animated projects of the year that has behind it a team of 250 talents from Disney, Pixar and DreamWorks.

Il 3 dicembre arriverà nei cinema italiani, dopo la tappa fuori concorso al 68° Festival di Cannes, il film d’animazione Il Piccolo Principe, nuovo adattamento del classico della letteratura per ragazzi di Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, diretto dallo statunitense Mark Osborne. Dal regista di Kung Fu Panda, un tributo al popolare e amatissimo racconto scritto nel 1942 che, a 71 anni dalla sua pubblicazione, è il libro più tradotto nel mondo dopo la Bibbia, in 270 lingue e dialetti, con 145 milioni di copie vendute (16 milioni soltanto in Italia). La storia narra di una bambina che si trasferisce in un nuovo quartiere con la madre, una donna in carriera che le programma le giornate in modo da consentirle l’accesso alla prestigiosa Accademia Werth. La piccola conosce il suo vicino di casa, un vecchio e bizzarro aviatore, che inizia a raccontarle dell’incontro avvenuto anni prima con il Piccolo Principe. La bambina si lascia trasportare dal racconto dell’uomo e ne viene conquistata; inizia in questo modo a ribellarsi ad una vita preimpostata e riscopre la meraviglia che solo le piccole cose sanno dare. Il Piccolo Principe è un bambino con i capelli del colore del grano, un entusiasta viaggiatore delle meraviglie dell’Universo. Durante il suo viaggio ha modo di conoscere molti personaggi interessanti, ognuno dei quali gli lascia un insegnamento o uno spunto di riflessione. Le esperienze dell’aviatore e il racconto dei viaggi del Piccolo Principe in altri mondi contribuiranno a creare un forte legame tra l’aviatore e la bambina. Affronteranno insieme una straordinaria avventura, alla fine della quale la bambina avrà imparato ad usare la sua immaginazione e ritrovare la sua infanzia. Il capolavoro letterario di Saint-Exupéry ha saputo fornire importanti spunti su tematiche profonde ed importanti, su valori universali e senza tempo: il rispetto della persona e della diversità, la salvaguardia dell’ambiente, la pace, l’amicizia, la vita e la solitudine.
