The origins of the Torrefazione Cesare Magnelli date back to 1875, when, Cesare di Angiolo Magnelli decided to take over a business on Via Gioberti, just a short walk from the historic center. Thanks to his genius and to the intuitive spirit that characterized him, the first years of the ‘900s represented a very prosperous period for his activities, which led to the opening of various outlets and a grocery store which also sold liquori, colonial goods and offered “hygienic coffee roasting”.

It was from Cesare that the secret coffee recipes handed down from generation to generation arose and they were kept in the Magnelli family since; they have known how to value the company’s mission with the spirit of renewal and cooperation outlining their own identity which distinguishes the company from its competitors, especially for the quality of the blends of coffee and for the craftsmanship of the product. Yes, because Magnelli coffee is, to this date, an artisanal product.
On March 7th, 2016, in Florence, the new café concept was inaugurated, Cesare Magnelli Street Salad, a place where it is possible to buy Cesare Magnelli products, taste special coffee blends as well as coffee from single origin, and even create your own favorite blend, watch it roast in the store and take the personalized, and therefore unique, coffee to your home straight away!
The choices of capsules and pods are very wide, and you can take the coffee maker under a loan to use in your home or at the office. One of the exclusive products Magnelli offers is the “Cialda Moka” that makes the traditional 3 cup moka. The pastry selection for breakfast is decisively very good, delicious creamy yogurt and fresh fruit extracts, homemade chocolate, and other refined products. At lunch you will find gourmet sandwiches and focaccia; for a fast pause choose a “street salad”, a fresh salad prepared on the spot with fresh ingredients which you can enjoy at the delicious and large outdoor area, at the back of the shop, which will be further expanded and fitted with a play area for the little ones, or take away.
Open from 6.30 A.M to 08.00 P.M, they also serve a tasty aperitivo from 06:00 P.M onwards.

Le origini della Torrefazione Cesare Magnelli risalgono al 1875, quando, Cesare di Angiolo Magnelli, decise di rilevare un esercizio commerciale in Via Gioberti, a pochi passi dal centro storico. Grazie alla sua genialità ed allo spirito intuitivo che lo caratterizzava, i primi anni del ‘900 rappresentarono un periodo decisamente fiorente per la sua attività, tanto che inaugurò vari punti vendita ed aprì una drogheria con vendita di liquori, generi coloniali e “torrefazione igienica del caffè”. È proprio da Cesare nacquero le segrete ricette di caffè tramandate e custodite di generazione in generazione nella famiglia Magnelli che ha saputo valorizzare la mission aziendale con quello spirito di rinnovamento e di collaborazione che delineano la propria identità e che la contraddistinguono dai competitors, soprattutto per la qualità delle sue miscele di caffè e per l’artigianalità del prodotto. Sì perché il caffè Magnelli è, ancora oggi, un prodotto artigianale.

Il 7 marzo 2016, a Firenze, è stato inaugurato il nuovo concept di caffetteria, Cesare Magnelli Street Salad, dove è possibile acquistare i prodotti Cesare Magnelli, degustare particolari monorigini e miscele di caffè, ed addirittura creare la vostra miscela preferita, assistere alla sua tostatura in negozio e portarsi il caffè, così personalizzato e quindi unico, direttamente a casa!
È molto ampia la scelta di capsule e cialde, ed è possibile prendere la macchina per il caffè in comodato d’uso per la casa o per l’ufficio. Una produzione esclusiva di Magnelli è poi la “Cialda Moka” per la tradizionale moka da 3 tazze. Decisamente molto buona la selezione di pasticceria per la colazione, squisiti yogurt cremosi ed estratti di frutta fresca, cioccolato artigianale e altri prodotti ricercati. A pranzo troverete golosi panini e schiacciatine; per una pausa leggera scegliete una “street salad”, un’insalata fresca da preparare al momento scegliendo tra gli appetitosi ingredienti proposti ogni giorno e che potrete gustarvi nel delizioso e ampio spazio esterno, sul retro del locale, che sarà ulteriormente ampliato e allestito con un’area giochi per i più piccoli, o take away.

Aperto dalle ore 6.30 alle 20.00, propone anche stuzzicanti aperitivi dalle 18.00 in poi.
