Appuntatevi bene la data del 23 settembre 2017. Il Lucca Summer Festival, per festeggiare i suoi primi 20 anni di attività, si aggiudica la rock band più importante al mondo: i Rolling Stones.

Per l’unica data italiana di questo tour i Rolling Stones hanno scelto una location mai utilizzata prima, le mura medievali di Lucca, che da poco hanno festeggiato 500 anni. I Rolling Stones: Mick Jagger (voce, armonica, chitarra), Keith Richards (chitarre, voce), Ronnie Wood (chitarre, cori) e Charlie Watts (batteria, percussioni), sono diventati famosi, oltre che per la loro musica, anche per la loro trasgressione: furono tra i primi musicisti a fare riferimento nelle loro canzoni alla droga, al sesso, all’alcool, diventando essi stessi vere e proprie “icone” del pubblico anche per la loro vita, costellata di trasgressioni ed eccessi, di alti e bassi, ma sempre e comunque sulla cresta dell’onda.

Furono chiamati “brutti, sporchi e cattivi” proprio per la loro vita “borderline”, in netta contrapposizione ai più rassicuranti Beatles, riconosciuti come i “bravi ragazzi” di Liverpool, ma questa dicotomia fu verosimilmente creata dagli stessi Rolling Stones che, deliberatamente, agivano in modo antitetico rispetto ai Beatles con i quali, peraltro, hanno sempre avuto un ottimo rapporto di stima e amicizia.

Anche il loro simbolo identificativo, la lingua con la bocca spalancata, è diventato una delle icone più celebri del mondo come a dimostrazione che, nonostante tutti i cambiamenti ed i periodi di crisi che si sono succeduti, loro non hanno mai mollato. All’attivo “i ragazzi” hanno trenta album in studio, diciotto album dal vivo e numerose raccolte, amatissime dal pubblico degli appassionati, di allora come di oggi.

Allora forza, tutti pronti per scatenarsi a suon di rock insieme ad una delle band che ha segnato la storia della musica!

The Rolling stones fire up the walls of the city of Lucca

September 23rd, 2017 should be a date to be marked on your calendar. To celebrate its first twenty years of activity, the Lucca Summer Festival, is bringing the most famous rock band in the world: the Rolling Stones.

For their only Italian stop in the tour, the Rolling Stones chose a location never used before, the medieval walls of Lucca, which recently celebrated 500 years. The Rolling Stones: Mick Jagger (vocals, harmonica, guitar), Keith Richards (guitars, voice), Ronnie Wood (guitars, choirs) and Charlie Watts (drums, percussion) become famous not only for their music but also for their transgressions: they were among the first musicians to include drugs, sex and alcohol in their songs, becoming real “icons” for the public because of their lives, dotted with transgressions and excesses, with ups and downs, but always on top.

They were referred to as “ugly, dirty and evil” for their “borderline” life in clear contrast to the calmer Beatles, recognized as “good guys” from Liverpool, but this dichotomy was most probably created by the Rolling Stones themselves, who, deliberately acted antithetically from the Beatles with whom they always had a great relationship based on respect and friendship. Even their identifying symbol, the tongue with a wide open mouth, has become one of the most iconic in the world as a demonstration that despite all the changes and the times of crisis that have happened, they never gave up. “The boys” have thirty recorded studio albums, eighteen live albums and some collections, loved by the enthusiastic public from the past as well as the ones today.

So, here we go, all ready to rock and roll with one of the bands that marked the music story!
