Parte dalla storia di una tra le grandi eccellenze del Made in Italy la XXIV edizione di ARTIGIANATO E PALAZZO (Firenze, Giardino Corsini 17-20 maggio 2018) con la “Mostra Principe” dedicata alla Manifattura della porcellana Richard Ginori e la raccolta fondi per la riapertura del Museo di Doccia, recentemente acquistato dal MiBACT. “Le molte centinaia di richieste di partecipazione che ci sono giunte quest’anno rappresentano un ottimo segnale di ripresa del settore dell’artigianato, perché sono proprio le botteghe il cuore pulsante del Made in Italy”, dichiarano Giorgiana Corsini e Neri Torrigiani, da oltre ventiquattro anni impegnati nell’organizzazione della manifestazione ARTIGIANATO E PALAZZO e nella valorizzazione dei mestieri che appartengono al nostro paese. Nei quattro giorni di mostra nella Limonaia Piccola del seicentesco Giardino Corsini, aperto al pubblico per l’occasione, l’azienda Richard Ginori ricreerà i vari momenti del processo creativo attraverso i quali quotidianamente dal 1735 realizza opere uniche in porcellana. Al Museo di Doccia sarà invece dedicata l’importante iniziativa di raccolta fondi “ARTIGIANATO E PALAZZO PER IL MUSEO DI DOCCIA” che Giorgiana Corsini e Neri Torrigiani hanno deciso di lanciare con questa edizione. La nuova selezione di circa 100 maestri artigiani italiani e stranieri sarà protagonista di questa XXIV edizione.

The great tradition of italian craftsmanship from its origins to the present

The 24th ARTIGIANATO E PALAZZO exhibition (Florence, Corsini Gardens, May 17-20, 2018) gets underway with the history of one of the leading examples of Made in Italy excellence, the “Mostra Principe” dedicated to the Richard Ginori porcelain Manufactory and fundraising for the reopening of the Doccia Museum, recently acquired by MiBACT (Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism). “The hundreds of requests to take part that we have received this year represent an excellent sign of recovery in the artisan sector, because craftspeople are the lifeblood of Made in Italy” said Giorgiana Corsini and Neri Torrigiani who, for over twenty-four years, have been involved in organizing the ARTIGIANATO E PALAZZO event and in promoting Italy’s artisan heritage. During the four-day event in the Limonaia Piccola of the 17th-century Corsini Gardens (open to the public for this occasion), the Richard Ginori company will recreate various phases in the creative process through which, daily since 1735, it has produced unique porcelain pieces. The Doccia Museum will be the recipient of the major fundraising initiative, “ARTIGIANATO E PALAZZO FOR THE DOCCIA MUSEUM” that Giorgiana Corsini and Neri Torrigiani have decided to launch with this year’s event. The new selection of approximately 100 Italian and international craftspeople will be the protagonist of this year’s 24th exhibition.
