Con giugno sono arrivati i primi caldi anche a Firenze. E allora, fra un museo e un tour, cosa c’è di meglio se non rinfrescarsi con un tuffo in piscina? Se ami nuotare, la piscina comunale di Bellariva sul Lungarno Aldo Moro ti aspetta con una grande vasca olimpionica – ci si allena anche la squadra di pallanuoto – e un prato intorno per rilassarsi. A fine giornata puoi cenare nel ristorante Settebello. Ricordati di portare la cuffia, è obbligatoria, così come la prenotazione dell’ingresso. Quanto costa? Durante la settimana 8 € e nei giorni festivi 9 €. Previste riduzioni per bambini e over65. Qui arrivi comodamente in autobus. Se sei alla ricerca del fresco, la tua scelta può essere la Piscina delle Pavoniere, al parco delle Cascine. È poco distante dalla fermata della tramvia. Nel rispetto delle attuali normative Covid gli spogliatoi sono chiusi, quindi è preferibile arrivare indossando già il costume. Anche qui la cuffia è obbligatoria! Quando cala il sole, concediti un aperitivo a bordo piscina (ingresso 8 € nei giorni feriali e 11 € nei festivi). Ti piacerebbe una piscina in collina, in mezzo agli ulivi, con jacuzzi e grande attenzione allo sport? Il Lido di Marignolle è parte di una famosa palestra fiorentina ed anche per l’estate 2021 accoglie nei propri spazi anche gli ospiti esterni. Se siete in 4 ti consiglio di prenotare l’isola da 14 mq con lettini e ombrellone (nel fine settimana costa 100 €, durante la settimana 80 €). Attenzione: per arrivare qui sarà necessaria una macchina. In piscina con i bimbi piccoli? Ti suggerisco la piscina dentro al campeggio Camping in Town, a Firenze Sud. La laguna con fondo morbido e acqua bassa è l’ideale per farli giocare in sicurezza mentre tu ti abbronzi (ingresso 15 € per gli adulti e 10 € per i bambini). Un’altra possibilità è quella di trascorrere una giornata fuori porta, per esempio nel Mugello, a nord di Firenze. Fra tortelli di patate, una visita al Lago di Bilancino (balneabile) e un giro in bici, potresti decidere di fermarti alla piscina di Borgo San Lorenzo. L’attrazione principale per i bambini saranno gli acquascivoli. (ingresso 6 € infrasettimanale, 8 € festivo). Se però quello che cerchi è solo una bella abbronzatura, ti farà piacere sapere che ha riaperto la spiaggia sull’Arno, River Urban Beach. Gazebo con tende svolazzanti, lettini, birra e tartare di chianina ti attendono giusto a pochi passi da Ponte Vecchio.

June marked the beginning of summer in Florence. And between a museum and a tour, what’s more fitting than a refreshing dip in the pool? If you love to swim, the public swimming pool of Bellariva on Lungarno Aldo Moro has an Olympic pool waiting for you – where even the local water polo team trains – and a large park where you can relax. You can also stop to have dinner at the Settebello restaurant. Remember to bring a bonnet, as it is mandatory, as well as a reservation to enter. The entrance fee on weekdays is 8 €, 9 € on holidays. Reductions are available for children and over 65-year-olds. You can easily reach the structure with the bus. If instead you are looking to cool off, then your choice may fall on the Pavoniere Pool, at the Cascine Park. It is not far from the tram stop. In compliance with the current Covid regulations, the dressing rooms are closed, so it’s best to arrive already wearing a bathing suit. A bonnet is mandatory here too! When the sun sets, enjoy a poolside aperitivo (entry fee 8 € during weekdays, 11 € on holidays). Or maybe you prefer a pool on the hills, surrounded by olive trees, with a jacuzzi and sports activities? Lido di Marignolle will be part of a famous Florentine gym also for the summer 2021 season and it is open to outside guests too. If you are more than four, however, I recommend that you book the 14 sqm island with sunbeds and umbrella (on weekends the cost is of 100 €, 80 € on weekdays). Please note: to get here you will need a car. And for a day at the pool with kids? Consider the pool at Camping in Town, in Firenze Sud. Its lagoon with soft floors and low water is ideal for the little ones to play safely while you bask in the sun (entry fee 15 € for adults, 10 € for children). Or you could opt to spend a day out of town, like in Mugello, north of Florence, where you can try the traditional potato-filled “tortelli” and enjoy views of the Bilancino Lake (bathing allowed) or take a bike tour. You could even decide to visit the pool in Borgo San Lorenzo. Here, the main attraction for children are the water slides (entry fee 6 € on weekdays, 8 € on holidays). But if what you are after is a nice tan, then you should know that the beach on the Arno, River Urban Beach, is now open again. Gazebos with fluttering cabanas, sunbeds, beer and Chianina beef tartare await you just a stone’s throw away from Ponte Vecchio.
