La Fondazione Zeffirelli ha riaperto il 31 agosto con un omaggio particolare a Piero Tosi, costumista e amico stretto di Franco Zeffirelli, con un programma di eventi che accompagna una “carismatica” fine dell’estate. I successi dei concerti del giovedì in collaborazione con il Conservatorio Cherubini sono stati raggiunti durante l’estate, stabilendo una nota iniziale per questa nuova stagione. Per tale motivo, la Fondazione Zeffirelli riapre i concerti e gli spettacoli al pubblico cominciando con l’esibizione “Musica per Alice” di Ruggiero Fiorella, che suonerà al pianoforte alcuni brani di Johannes Brahms.

La musica continua con la collaborazione tra la Fondazione Zeffirelli e l’Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina diretta da Giuseppe Lanzetta. In uno spazio aperto, il pubblico fiorentino si radunerà per godere di quattro spettacoli diversi. Il 10 settembre, saranno replicate le famose colonne sonore Disney durante lo spettacolo intitolato Walt Disney Fantasy. Il 16 settembre, il pubblico è invitato a I più celebri tanghi e milonghe, seguito da Omaggio a Napoli il 2 ottobre per una serata di noti brani napoletani, e da Omaggio a Pino Daniele e Lucio Dalla il 16 ottobre.

Contemporaneamente a questi eventi musicali che accompagnano la città di Firenze nella sua transizione da estate ad autunno, la Fondazione Zeffirelli si aprirà al pubblico tramite “l’inferno di Dante al cinema” che avrà luogo venerdì 17 settembre e venerdì primo ottobre alle 16:00 per rivelare una preziosa novità. La visita dell’affascinante Sala Inferno della Collezione Zeffirelli verrà permessa al pubblico, e sarà guidata e accompagnata dalla lettura del copione inedito del film su Dante mai realizzato. La guida sarà Maria Alberti, storica dello spettacolo e responsabile didattica per la Fondazione Zeffirelli, la cui conoscenza ed esperienza nel campo rende un’idea originale della scoperta dei bozzetti preparatori presenti nella sala. Questa opportunità è unica per gli amanti della cultura dantesca, perché il copione di tale film mai rilasciato è conservato nell’Archivio della Fondazione e ricorda, attraverso appunti e idee scenografiche, uno stile cinematografico del Novecento che rende l’esperienza del tutto esclusiva. Inoltre, per festeggiare l’anno dantesco, il pubblico potrà assistere alla proiezione di “Omaggio a Dante”, ideato da Pippo Zeffirelli e interpretato da Luigi di Fiore con passione e rispetto per la cultura dantesca.

Infine, per chi sia interessato a scoprire la Fondazione e le sue diverse sale ricche di tesori culturali, è possibile partecipare a visite guidate dallo staff ogni sabato di settembre alle ore 11:00. Zeffirelli Foundation: music, cinema, and culture

The Zeffirelli Foundation re-opened on the 31 of August with a special tribute to Piero Tosi, customer, and close friend of Franco Zeffirelli, with a program of events to mark the end of summer in a charismatic fashion. The concerts taking place every Thursday, in collaboration with the Cherubini Conservatory, were met with great success during the summer, establishing an initial note for their continuation in this new season. For such a reason, the Zeffirelli Foundation re-opens to the public with concerts and shows, beginning with the exhibition “Music for Alice” by Ruggiero Fiorella, who will play some pieces by Johannes Brahms on the piano.

Music continues with the collaboration between the Zeffirelli Foundation and the Florentine Chamber Orchestra directed by Giuseppe Lanzetta. In an outdoor space, the Florentine public will gather to enjoy four different plays. On the 10th of September, Disney’s famous soundtracks will be replicated during the play entitled Walt Disney Fantasy. On the 16th of September, the public is invited to The most famous tangos and milongas, followed by A Tribute to Naples on the 2 of October for an evening of well-known Neapolitan songs, and by A Tribute to Pino Daniele and Lucio Dalla on the 16th of October.

Contemporarily to these musical events occurring during Florence’s transition from summer to autumn, the Zeffirelli Foundation will open to the public through “Dante’s Hell in the cinema” which will take place Friday the 17th of September and Friday the first of October at 4:00 pm to reveal a previous novelty. The visit of the fascinating Hell Room from the Zeffirelli Collection will become available to the public, and it will be guided and accompanied by the reading of the unpublished script of the film on Dante never made. The guide will be Maria Alberti, a theatre historian and didactic manager for the Zeffirelli Foundation, whose knowledge and experience in the field gives an original idea of the discovery of the preparatory sketches in the room. This opportunity is unique for those who love Dantesque culture, as the script for such a film was never released and is conserved in the Foundation’s archives, reminding of a 900s style through notes and scenographic ideas, rendering the experience totally exclusive. Further, to celebrate this Dantesque year, the public will be able to enjoy the screening of “Homage to Dante”, designed by Pippo Zeffirelli and interpreted by Luigi di Fiore with passion and respect for Dante’s culture.

Finally, for those interested in discovering the Foundation and its different rooms filled with cultural treasures, it is possible to participate in guided tours by the staff every Saturday of September at 11:00.
