Fare la giornalista mi è sempre sembrato l’unico modo per soddisfare la mia curiosità. Sono cresciuta amando i viaggi e le persone nuove, quelle più strane come quelle più timide. Posso dire che libro e penna sono stati i miei compagni sin da bambina, facendomi sognare e desiderare di essere io, quella a tenere la penna. Così, dai 15 anni in poi ho iniziato ad esplorare il mondo del giornalismo, dell’investigare, del chiedere, che alla fine è come leggere un libro con interazioni occulte, per conoscere una storia diversa, incontrandola. Da piccola ho frequentato la Scuola Montessori, che "sveglia e apre gli occhi spenti", poi gli Artigianelli di Firenze e la Scuola Europea di Bruxelles, fonti di diversità ed educazione creativa che davano importanza alla "domanda", al "perchè", prima di tutto. I viaggi e le varie esperienze di volontariato tra Malabo, per l’ONG Mbengono, Bruxelles, per Food For Friends, e Dublino, hanno aperto porte a sogni la cui realtà piano piano si è avvicinata alla mia, sempre di più. Mi piace scrivere per conoscere la cultura e la storia di identità altrui. Appassionata di arte, cultura e fotografia, musica e tutto ciò che ha bisogno di essere urlato, o sussurrato, per essere sentito, ho scritto per diverse riviste come il Dublino University Times, Strange Times, The Post e Rewriters, dove ho una colonna dal titolo, “Giovani, Cultura e Innovazione”, discutendo tali temi in termini europei. Questo amore per la scrittura, l'interpretazione e il porre domande si è esteso maggiormente negli ultimi quattro anni, nei quali ho intrapreso un percorso di laurea in Storia e Scienze Politiche al Trinity College di Dublino. Questi anni hanno alimentato maggiormente la mia passione per il giornalismo, scegliendo storia e politica, ricordando le parole di una giornalista che mi disse al momento di fare la scelta tra politica e giornalismo, “è meglio avere qualcosa di cui scrivere, se sai già scrivere”. E così l’avventura in Irlanda mi ha insegnato una lingua in più, accanto al francese, all'italiano e al tedesco, mentre scoprivo l’arte del mondo, il suo funzionamento, attraverso le sue tradizioni e i suoi meccanismi poco umani, che hanno bisogno di tanta verità. Adesso, amo scrivere e continuo a pensare con occhi diversi da quelli con i quali vedo. Sono assistente progetto per l’ONG BPUR International, i cui obiettivi offrirebbero al mondo e i suoi cittadini una speranza in più. Oramai nomade di questo mondo e fiorentina di sangue, scrivo di viaggio, cultura, arte e musica, di tutto ciò che mi incuriosisce.

Being a journalist always seemed to me as the only way in which I could satisfy my curiosity. I grew up loving travels and new people, the strangest, and the shyest. I may say that a pen and a book have been my companions since I was a kid, making me dream and desire for that to be me, the one holding the pen. Thus, from fifteen onwards, I started to explore the world of journalism, of investigation, of inquiring. This, in the end, is like reading a book with occult interactions: to know a different story, encountering it. When I was younger, I attended the Montessori School, which awakens and opens shut off eyes, then Artigianelli in Florence and the European School in Brussels, which sources of diversity and creative education accorded importance to questioning, before anything else. The travels and the many volunteering experiences between Malabo for the NGO Mbengono, Brussels for Food For Friends and Dublin, opened doors to dreams which reality I have slowly gotten closer to. I like to write to understand the culture and story of someone else’s identity. Passioned by art, culture and photography, music and all that needs to be shouted or whispered in order to be heard, I wrote pieces for several magazines, such as Dublin’s University Times, Strange Times, The Post and Rewriters, where I have a column named “Youth, Culture and Innovation”, discussing such themes on European grounds. This love for writing, interpreting and asking furtherly spread in the last four years, during which I undertook (still ongoing) a Bachelor in History and Political Science at Trinity College Dublin. These years furtherly fed my passion for journalism, choosing history and politics as I followed the good words of a journalist who told me when the time to make the choice between politics and journalism came, “it is better to have something to write about, if you already know how to write”. In this way, the Irish adventure taught me one more language, alongside French, Italian and German, whilst I discovered the art of the world, how it works, through its traditions and its poorly humanistic mechanisms in need of a lot of truth. Now, I love to write, and I persist in thinking with different eyes than with those with which I see. Currently, I am Project Assistant for an NGO named BPUR International, which objectives would offer the world and its citizens the ambition of one more hope. At once nomad of this world and Florentine by blood, I write about travel, culture, art and music, about everything that makes me curious.
