Il Comitato di Firenze della Croce Rossa Italiana si trova nel cuore di Firenze ed è uno degli oltre 600 comitati territoriali in tutta Italia, appartenenti alla più grande organizzazione umanitaria del mondo. Croce Rossa ha più di 17 milioni di volontari in tutto il mondo, 150 mila solo in Italia, e ogni azione dei volontari è ispirata dai sette Principi Fondamentali: Umanità, Imparzialità, Neutralità, Indipendenza, Volontariato, Unità e Universalità. La Croce Rossa a Firenze s’impegna quotidianamente nel rispetto di questi principi in ogni luogo in cui ce ne sia bisogno: siamo attivi nelle scuole per la prevenzione e la promozione di stili di vita sani, sulle strade per i senza dimora e con le nostre ambulanze per l’emergenza sanitaria, negli ospedali per l’assistenza ai piccoli pazienti del Meyer e delle loro famiglie e nelle case di riposo per le attività dedicate agli anziani. I nostri volontari intervengono in caso di emergenze e disastri come alluvioni e terremoti, ma anche per agevolare le attività in caso di grandi eventi e manifestazioni.

Il Comitato di Firenze collabora attivamente con le Istituzioni del territorio fiorentino nell’assistenza degli indigenti e in tutti gli ambiti sociali in cui è possibile fornire un supporto concreto per aiutare le fasce più deboli della popolazione. Da qualche mese è attivo anche un nuovo progetto della Croce Rossa di Firenze dedicato ai cittadini del territorio d‘Oltrarno e non solo: il Poliambulatorio. All’interno dei suoi locali in Borgo San Frediano, completamente rinnovati, sono ospitati servizi di diagnostica e infermieristici e uno spazio per i prelievi del sangue. Un progetto ambizioso che andrà a fornire nuovi servizi in una zona del centro storico densamente abitata e frequentata. Tutti possono diventare volontari della Croce Rossa Italiana e ogni anno sono organizzati 4 corsi di accesso per il reclutamento dei nuovi volontari. Si può anche diventare socio sostenitore della Croce Rossa, entrando così a far parte della grande famiglia internazionale del nostro Movimento. Con un piccolo sostegno economico potrai contribuire al nostro impegno quotidiano a favore dei più vulnerabili e usufruire dei numerosi servizi per i soci.

A Committee always on the move, with more than 1,000 volunteers
The Florence Committee of the Italian Red Cross is located in the heart of Florence and is one of more than 600 local committees throughout Italy, belonging to the largest humanitarian organization in the world. The Red Cross has more than 17 million volunteers worldwide, 150,000 in Italy alone, and each action of the volunteers is inspired by the seven Fundamental Principles: Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary Service, Unity and Universality. The Red Cross in Florence commits on a daily basis in compliance with these principles in all the places where there is a need: we are active in schools for the prevention and promotion of healthy lifestyles, on the streets for the homeless and with our ambulances for health emergencies, in hospitals for the care of young patients at Meyer and their families and in nursing homes for the activities dedicated to the elderly. Our volunteers intervene in case of emergencies and disasters such as floods and earthquakes, but also to facilitate activities for large events and manifestations. T

he Florence Committee works closely with the institutions of the Florentine territory in assisting the needy and in all areas of society where it’s possible to provide concrete support to help the most vulnerable of the population. For some months there is also a new project of the Red Cross in Florence dedicated to the citizens of the Oltrarno area and beyond: the Clinic. Within its premises in Borgo San Frediano, a completely renovated structure, there are hosted diagnostic and nursing services and a designated space for blood tests. An ambitious project that will provide new services in a historic downtown area densely inhabited and frequented. Anyone can become a volunteer of the Italian Red Cross, and every year there are organized 4 courses of access for the recruitment of new volunteers. You can also become a supporting member of the Red Cross, thus becoming part of the great international family of our Movement. With a small donation you can contribute to our daily commitment in favor of the most vulnerable and benefit from the numerous services for members.
