Stefano Alinari at the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno

On April 16 at the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno of Florence has been inaugurated the exhibit of project-drawings and jewelry realized by the master goldsmith Stefano Alinari who has illustrated the 12 stories by Alessandro Ubertazzi, Professor of Industrial Design at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Florence and author of the book entitled “Twelve fantastic beings I have met”. Stefano Alinari is an artist with solid training as a goldsmith, a training that he began in Florence at the Art Institute of Porta Romana and then matured under the guidance of excellent teachers. In 1988 he is ready to open his shop in via San Zanobi, n. 24/r, where he develops his artistic research “devoted to Beauty” and meets artists and writers in a place that has become a lively and active cultural center. In this laboratory are born precious jewels, unique pieces that focus on asymmetric fragmentation of the elements assembled into a harmonious, original whole, testifying to the conceptual designed unity. The artist is able to “agglomerate”, as he himself says, materials, formal elements and different aesthetics: in his work there are found references and quotes pertaining to different disciplines and exotic European cultures that flow into works full of explicit meanings, and often born from a chaotic imagination. His models are unique and unrepeatable and take shape from the desire and the personality of the wearer, reproducing through the object the feeling of remembrance and of the future; that’s why the “Alinari”jewels are never the same, as are the people and experiences of life, moving or occupying space in a sculptural way. The Museo degli Argenti from Palazzo Pitti, holds in a permanent exhibition since 2007, in the Contemporary Jewellery section, three of his jewels: the polymeric necklace with pendant called Eco, built according to an asymmetryical pattern around a female bronze head, depicting Echo, the nymph of woods and springs; Barbara earrings, made of gold gray bronze, bright, red tourmaline and tourmaline faceted; the Eco bracelet in which the artist recovers a gold coin of the Magyar Republic and a Roman coin from the Empire period, giving these elements the power to evoke concepts of history and time. These are initiatives of great artistic and cultural value as the one promoted by the Accademia delle Arti del Disegnoand that oversee as protagonists the precious jewels made by Stefano Alinari, are articulated in full compliance with the secular tradition of the Accademia delle Arti del Disegnothat has always encouraged and promoted those studies and events that can encourage both artistic and historical interests and that are focused on cultural heritage and tangible assets, such testimonies having the force of civilization. The subtle intent of the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno is to keep alive and to incarnate in every age “the archetype of beauty” through excellence in the artistic and science field. The show was presented by Cristina Acidini, former Superintendent of the Historical, Artistic and Ethno-anthropological Patrimony and of the Museums of Florence and Luigi Zangheri, President of the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno.

Il 16 aprile presso l’Accademia delle Arti del Disegno di Firenze è stata inaugurata la mostra dei disegni-progetti ed i gioielli realizzati dal Maestro orafo Stefano Alinari che hanno illustrato i 12 racconti di Alessandro Ubertazzi, Professore Ordinario di Disegno Industriale presso la Facoltà di Architettura dell’Università di Firenze ed autore del libro intitolato “Dodici esseri fantastici che ho incontrato”. Stefano Alinari è un artista di solida formazione orafa iniziata a Firenze all’Istituto d’Arte di Porta Romana e maturata poi sotto la guida di validi maestri. Nel 1988 è pronto ad aprire in via San Zanobi, n. 24/r una sua bottega dove sviluppare la propria ricerca artistica “votata alla Bellezza” ed incontrare artisti e letterati in un luogo che è divenuto vivace ed operoso centro culturale. In questo laboratorio nascono preziosi gioielli, pezzi unici incentrati sulla frammentazione asimmetrica degli elementi assemblati in un insieme armonico originale che testimonia un’unità concettuale e progettuale. L’artista riesce ad “agglomerare”, come lui stesso dice, materiali, elementi formali ed estetici diversi: nella sua opera si ritrovano richiami e citazioni afferenti alle più disparate discipline e culture europee ed esotiche che confluiscono in opere ricche di significati espliciti o spesso occulti che ordinano la sua fervida, e spesso caotica, immaginazione. I suoi modelli unici ed irripetibili nascono dal desiderio e dalla personalità di chi li indossa, riproducendo nell’oggetto la sensazione del ricordo e del futuro; è per questo che i gioielli “Alinari” non sono mai uguali, cosi come le persone e le esperienze della vita, si muovono realmente girando su se stessi oppure occupando in maniera scultorea lo spazio. Al Museo degli Argenti a Palazzo Pitti, nella sezione del Gioiello Contemporaneo, dal 2007, in un’esposizione permanente si ammirano tre dei suoi gioielli: la collana polimaterica con pendente Eco, costruita secondo uno schema asimmetrico intorno ad una testa femminile in bronzo raffigurante Eco, la ninfa dei boschi e delle sorgenti; gli orecchini Barbara, realizzati in oro grigio patinato, bronzo, brillanti, tormalina rossa e tormaline sfaccettate; il bracciale Eco nel quale l’artista recupera una moneta aurea della Repubblica Magiara ed una moneta romana d’epoca imperiale, conferendo a questi elementi il potere di evocare concetti di storia e di tempo. Iniziative di grande valore artistico e culturale come questa promossa dall’Accademia delle Arti del Disegno e che vede protagonisti i preziosi gioielli realizzati da Stefano Alinari, si articolano in piena conformità alla secolare tradizione dell’Accademia delle Arti del Disegno che da sempre inco raggia e promuove quegli studi e manifestazioni in grado di favorire quanto sia di interesse artistico e storico ed afferisca ai beni culturali materiali e immateriali quali testimonianze aventi valore di civiltà. L’intento sottile dell’Accademia delle Arti del Disegno èquello di mantenere vivo e incarnare in ogni tempo “l’archetipo del bello” attraverso le eccellenze in campo artistico e scientifico. La mostra è stata presentata da Cristina Acidini, già Soprintendente per il Patrimonio Storico, Artistico ed Etnoantropologico e per il Polo Museale della città di Firenze e Luigi Zangheri, Presidente dell’Accademia delle Arti del Disegno.
