Armida “Pupa” Nardi The versatile Florentine artist inaugurates her new Art Studio

In September, Armida “Pupa” Nardi, versatile Florentine artist, inaugurates her new Art Studio in the heart of Florence, in Piazza dei Giudici 4/5 r, in front of the Galileo Museum and next to Uffizi.

An artist’s studio that wants to be a place of Culture and Beauty, a refined and intimate lounge where meetings and conferences on artistic, historic and social themes will be hosted.

Pupa has always had a “visceral” relationship with Florence, a city to which she feels very attached, stating: “I was born in the splendid Florence and have had the fortune to breathe Art in all its forms. My passion for Art and Painting in particular, has grown alongside with me and I always cultivated it, together with my passion for theater, the study of foreign languages and travelling”. And once crossed the threshold of her studies, you are bound to follow her on her journey, a trail that is based on the themes of her artistic language.

Alongside the luxuriant Flowers, sensual orchid, the pink “white roses”, the cactus flowers that bloom the same as precious gems, the sunny lemon “Buddha hand”, oranges of the Boboli Gardens, you can find mysterious, wrapping, dreamlike landscapes, between the American Canyon, with a strong visual and emotional impact, representing as an “analytical path in the depth of my soul”, where the chromatic element seems to prevail in its form without sacrificing the aesthetic and composition equilibrium. Finally, her challenge in the representation of the Man, the attention given to the human body, especially the male nude that she paints on large canvases and from which it arises the series of intriguing Bodies.

A settembre, Armida “Pupa” Nardi, poliedrica artista fiorentina, inaugura il nuovo Studio d’Arte nel cuore di Firenze, in Piazza dei Giudici 4/5 r, di fronte al Museo Galileo e vicino agli Uffizi. Uno studio d’artista che vuole essere luogo di Cultura e Bellezza, un raffinato e intimo salotto dove saranno ospitati incontri e conferenze su tematiche artistiche, storiche e sociali. Pupa ha da sempre un rapporto “viscerale” con Firenze a cui si sente legatissima, e lei stessa afferma: “sono nata nella splendida Firenze ed ho avuto la fortuna di respirare l’Arte in tutte le sue forme. La mia passione per l’Arte, e la Pittura in particolare, è cresciuta con me e l’ho sempre coltivata, insieme alla passione per il teatro, lo studio delle lingue straniere ed i viaggi”. E una volta varcata la soglia del suo studio, vi sembrerà di ripercorrere insieme a lei il suo viaggio, un sentiero che si declina attraverso le tematiche del suo linguaggio artistico.

Accanto ai lussureggianti Fiori, la sensuale orchidea, la rosa “white rose”, i fiori di cactus che sbocciano alla stregua di gemme preziose, gli assolati limoni “mano di Buddha”, le arance dei Giardini di Boboli, si incontrano i paesaggi misteriosi, avvolgenti e onirici dei Canyon americani, di forte impatto visivo ed emotivo, che rappresentano come un “percorso analitico nella profondità della mia anima” e nei quali l’elemento cromatico sembra prevalere sulla forma senza per questo sacrificare l’equilibrio estetico e compositivo. Infine, la sua sfida nella rappresentazione dell’Uomo, l’attenzione rivolta al corpo umano, soprattutto il nudo maschile che dipinge su grandi tele e da cui nasce la serie intrigante dei Bodies.
