Caran d’Ache in collaboration with Lory shop, vendor of materials for fine arts in Piazza Frescobaldi and the literary Café Le Giubbe Rosse in Piazza Repubblica, have announced in the past months the second graphics competition reserved to a selection of over 100 artists who are residents in Italy. The Contest Theme is “Florence, May 14, 1865”.This is an important anniversary also because this year Caran d’Ache celebrates 100 years of existence. Caran d’Ache, Lory and Le Giubbe Rosse want to pay a tribute to the city of Florencewith a competition opened to artists, invited to rework using a modern twist the significance and the vision of those days using Caran d’Ache products. On May 14, 1865 it is also celebrated the figure of Dante, “the Italian more Italian who has ever existed” (Cesare Balbo). Whynot Srl, as the exclusive distributor in Italy for Caran d’Ache products, has given the possibility to all participants to choose a free kit of pencils from three different products: Museum (water soluble pencil), Luminance (soft, resistant to water pencil), Pastel Pencil (dry pencil). The award ceremony will take place on May 14, 2015 at 4.30 pm at the Literary Café, Le Giubbe Rosse, on the anniversary of 150 years of Florence Capital of Italy. The selected works will be exhibited at Le Giubbe Rosse and the overall winner will be awarded by Caran d’Ache with a 3 day trip to Geneva with a visit to the Maison, while Lory will award the three winners from each category with € 1000 worth of materials for fine arts available in the provided Florentine shop. Caran d’Ache, in collaborazione con il punto vendita di materiale per belle arti Lory di Piazza Frescobaldi ed il Caffè letterario Le Giubbe Rosse di Piazza della Repubblica hanno indetto nei mesi scorsi il secondo concorso di grafica riservato ad una selezione di oltre 100 artisti residenti in Italia. Il Tema del Concorso è “Firenze, 14 maggio 1865”. È questo un anniversario importante anche per Caran d’Ache che quest’anno festeggia i suoi 100 anni di storia. Caran d’Ache, Lory e Le Giubbe Rosse vogliono rendere omaggio alla città di Firenze con un concorso rivolto agli artisti, invitati a rielaborare in chiave moderna il significato e la visione di quel giorno con i prodotti Caran d’Ache. Il 14 maggio 1865 viene anche celebrata la figura di Dante, “l’italiano più italiano che sia mai stato” (Cesare Balbo).

La premiazione avverrà il 14 maggio 2015 alle ore 16.30 presso il Caffé letterario Le Giubbe Rosse, in occasione dell’anniversario dei 150 anni di Firenze Capitale d’Italia. I lavori selezionati verranno esposti presso Le Giubbe Rosse edil vincitore assoluto sarà premiato da Caran d’Ache con un viaggio di 3 giorni a Ginevra con la visita alla Maison, mentre Lory premierà i 3 vincitori di categoria con 1.000 € ciascuno di materiale per belle arti disponibile nel fornito shop fiorentino.
