Sei mesi di eventi con la novità internazionale Dap Festival, il primo Festival dedicato alla fusione di danza, scultura e arti visive. Ma non mancherà la poesia con il Premio Nazionale Carducci, il teatro e la cultura con il famoso Festival Versiliana e il Caffè di Romano Battaglia, la musica con Pietrasanta in Concerto nella suggestiva cornice dell’ex convento diretto dal maestro Michael Guttman ed i migliori solisti e orchestre, l’enoturismo con il Wine Art Festival, la passione equestre con i purosangue arabi dell’Arte del Cavallo e naturalmente le grandi mostre con Jorge Haugen Sorensen, Park Eun Sun che contamineranno con le loro sculture mastodontiche Piazza Duomo ed il Chiostro di S. Agostino ed Alfred Milot Mirashi nell’atrio di Palazzo Civico, altro luogo deputato all’arte. Ed ancora il Museo dei Bozzetti, unico al mondo, il nostro vanto, che custodisce la più ricca collezione di maquette del mondo con oltre 800 opere, la Casa Carducci a Valdicastello, dove il Premio Nobel per la Letteratura nacque ed il Museo Barsanti con il primo motore a scoppio. In molti non lo sanno ma Padre Eugenio Barsanti ha inventato il primo motore ed è nato nella nostra città. È cittadino onorario così come Igor Mitoraj a cui dedicheremo, nel 2018, un museo dove gli appassionati potranno incontrare la sua arte 365 giorni all’anno. Non mancherà nemmeno un tocco medioevale: Pietrasanta è l’antica capitale del Capitanato mediceo della Versilia fondata nel 1255.

Danza al Dap Festival

Le occasioni, o se preferite i pretesti, per un giro a Pietrasanta questa estate non mancano di certo. Come sempre del resto. Come non manca un circuito culinario di ristoranti, osterie, bar e negozi, gallerie d’arte, laboratori e fonderei. Per la nostra città questa è la stagione del rilancio turistico, culturale e d’immagine che è il frutto di due anni intensi di lavoro e di grande passione da parte della nostra amministrazione. Siamo tornati a parlare con il mondo nel linguaggio che il mondo riconosce: quello dell’arte e della bellezza, del life style e della mondanità, dell’artigianato e delle tradizioni. Pietrasanta è la Firenze della costa… ma con il mare!

Six months of events with the international novelty Dap Festival, the first Festival dedicated to the merging of dance, sculpture and visual arts. But there will also be poetry at the National Prize Carducci event, theater and culture together with the famous Versiliana Festival and Caffè di Romano Battaglia, music within the Pietrasanta in Concerto directed by Maestro Michael Guttman with the best soloists and orchestras in the charming setting of the former monastery, wine tourism with the Wine Art Festival, equestrian passion with the purebred Arabian horses of Arte del Cavallo and of course great exhibits with Jorge Haugen Sorensen, Park Eun Sun who will contaminate with their mastodon sculptures Piazza Duomo and the Cloister of St. Augustin and Alfred Milot Mirashi in the atrium of Palazzo Civico, another place dedicated to art. Moreover the Bozzetti Museum, unique in the world, our pride, which hosts the richest collection of maquette in the world with over 800 works, the Carducci House at Valdicastello, where the Nobel Prize for Literature was born and the Barsanti Museum with the first bursting engine. Many don’t know it but Father Eugenio Barsanti invented the first bursting engine and was born in our city. He is an honorary citizen just like Igor Mitoraj, to whom we will dedicate, in 2018, a museum where enthusiasts can admire his art 365 days a year. There will also be a medieval touch: Pietrasanta is the ancient capital of the Medicean Capitanato of Versilia, founded in 1255. The occasions, or if you prefer, the excuses, to take a trip to Pietrasanta are many this summer. As usual. There is also a culinary circuit of restaurants, taverns, bars and shops, art galleries, workshops and foundries. For our city this is the season for a touristic, cultural and image re-launch which is the result of two intensive years of work and great passion shown by our administration. We are back to speak to the world the language that the world understands: that of art and beauty, of life style and worldliness, of artisanship and traditions. Pietrasanta is the Florence of the coast…but with the sea!
