The male nudes of Armida “Pupa” Nardi
Armida “Pupa” Nardi is a versatile Florentine artist, with a name tassesco and untamed spirit: active for a long time in the field of fashion, she has also been valued at the same time as a theater actress and for the last fifteen years she has devoted herself to painting. As in the poem written by Tasso in Ferrara during the sixteen century, the sorceress with the same name captured paladins using love spells, now, Armida Pupa, in her Florentine studio from Piazza Giudici has brilliantly “captured” a series of male bodies, studied, undressed and transposed them on the canvas, presenting a complete series of Bodies at Ferrara, as part of the “Internazionale”, after the partial previews in exhibits held at Bratislava and Florence.
